Shunt active power filter (SAPF) is an electronic device using logical circuit to observe and input current. It is composed of power supplied converter and connected in parallel with source of harmonics, implementing harmonic filtering, power factor correction and reactive power compensation. 

APF comprises an energy stroage capacitor, an inverter, a filtering circuit and a controller.
